About the Foundation

The Kathy and Jerry Wood Foundation is a private, charitable foundation established in 2006 through the wills of Kathryn Marie (Kathy) Wood, who died on June 19, 2005 and her husband, Franklin J. (Jerry) Wood, who died on February 19, 2003.  The majority of the Wood estate was left to establish this Foundation.

Mission Statement
The objects and purposes of the Foundation, are, in general scope, as follows:

To aid and assist in charitable and educational activities for the moral, mental, intellectual, and physical development of young men and women of the United States.

To found or to provide scholarships for deserving young men and women who are citizens of the United States, and to assist them in attending any educational institution in the United States.

To assist in and to found, equip, or provide for the maintenance of institutions or associations for the advancement of learning in the United States.
