Westlawn Receives Largest Scholarship Grant in its 80 Year History
The Kathy & Jerry Wood Foundation Provide Generous Scholarship Support
The Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology is pleased to announce the most substantial grant and scholarship program in its 80 year history. According to the Westlawn’s Director, Dave Gerr, for qualifying students, the Kathy and Jerry Wood Scholarship Fund could reduce tuition rates for qualifying students to levels not seen since the early1980s. Wood Foundation Provides Grant to Establish Del Easton Alternative School in Williston, ND
Sallie Hamrick, trustee of the Kathy and Jerry Wood Foundation, provided a check today for $137,000.00 to Del Easton Alternative School. The alternative high school will offer an optional setting and programming for students to earn a high school diploma instead of being in a traditional high school program, thereby reducing the number of dropouts. Wood Foundation Helps Support New Health Sciences Institute at Anne Arundel Medical Center
Sallie Hamrick, trustee of the Kathy and Jerry Wood Foundation, will contribute $500,000 over five years for the development of the Health Sciences Institute at Anne Arundel Medical Center. The Institute will serve as a virtual classroom to provide real-time instruction and seminars by remotely linking scientists and specialists with resident and student physicians and nurses.(more...)

Sallie Hamrick, trustee of the Kathy and Jerry Wood Foundation, today provided a check for $127,447.00 to The Summit School scholarship fund. The Summit School teaches bright children in grades 1-8 who have dyslexia or other learning differences. (more...)
